In behalf of my papa Arnold and Mommy Shawie....I would like to greet all the loyal readers/visitors of my blog a Happy Happy Christmas!!!!
It's just that time of the year when everybody is shopping like my mom...what can an innocent kid like me do?...But to follow my mommy...:-)
At the Fun RanchAt Tiendesitas...
I wonder where we will be shopping next? Divisoria perhaps?
Yey! It was Chasmo's first time to visit the U.P. Sunken Garden. And surely, he had fun. In fact, he was sooo having a good time that daddy got tired holding his chain. So, we had to leave the place at once because daddy was getting irritated already. But, it was fun really!
My 2nd Birthday, Baguio Trip and When Riyan Meets Jo-Lo Part 2!

Last Friday was my 2nd birthday. Yes, I've been living two full years of happy and active life! Thanks to my mommy and daddy and my lola who've been taking care of me for the past two years! I love you three. Here are some photos of my "not so grand" birthday celebration with some close family relatives. The following day, at around 6:00 am, I awoke somewhere along North Luzon Expressway with my daddy driving while I sit comfortable on my mommy's lap. I learned that we are on our way to Baguio Cityyy!
It was a long 6 hour drive to paradise Philippines' summer capital. But it was fun wathching my mom and dad alternate on driving our car.
Finally we reached Baguio. It was cold and rainy that weekend. We just stayed in our room in Burnham Suites the whole afternoon, then had dinner at Cafe by the Ruins, our favorite resto!
The following day (Sunday) we woke up early and had a cool family walk at Burnham Park. There many people at Burnham Park that day but I enjoyed running and walking amidts the cool weather.
Then after eating breakfast, we went to Mines View Park. I had a picture taken with this giant dog.
After Mines View Park, we proceeded to Omai Khan, a mongolian resto to meet up with my friend Jo-Lo and his parents, Ninong Nick and Tita Tina. The 'rents were all happy to catch up with each other lives while Jo-Lo and I busied ourselves exchanging innocent glances once in awhile. After lunch, we went to Camp John Hay for the 'rents to have coffee at Figaro. The four of them had fun watching me and Jo-Lo play with these yoyo given by Ninong Nick. Then we proceeded to the butterfly garden, where an old insisted to put the butterflies on the different parts of our body. Everybody had their chance except for Jo-Lo who cried out loud when the butterflies were put on his shoulder. Hehehehe.
Then it was time to part ways with Jo-Lo and his parents. At the back of our minds, we were asking when do we get to see each other again?
It was a fun vacation for me, my daddy and mommy. It was great to spend time with them minus the hassles of our daily lives. Would you believe that daddy wasn't able to get online for 2 days?!! Good thing was, he was still normal then.
Now, I'm looking forward to our next Baguio trip. Daddy promises to bring us back there before the year ends. Yipeee!
If you got a mama and a papa who are both "gala", you'll often find yourself having your Sunday breakfast in as far as Tagaytay. That's what we did last Sunday. But before having breakfast, we had to stopped by Taal Vista viewing deck for some photo ops!
Meet the new member of our family --- Chazmo!
He is a 3-month old Basset Hound puppy which papa found on some online forum for pet. Chazmo has bee living with us for a week now. It's been a wacky and chaotic week for all of us as Chazmo started to rock our world.
So in the coming days, watch out as I tell you the adventures of Riyan and Chazmo!
Two weeks ago, we went to Clark Field in Pampanga to look for a new paradise farm but unfortunately we couldn't find it. But while looking for the paradise farm we saw a sign board that says, Nayong Filipino. So papa drove us to the direction as pointed out by the signboard and ended up at the old Clark Expo Center where the Nayong Filipino was built.
I must admit that I didn't pretty much enjoyed the place although I liked their tree house.
Then last Saturday we went to Tagaytay to check out this time a farm theme zoo called Paradizoo. We had our breakfast first at this nice little coffee shop called Bag of Beans. There I had my first taste of real coffee when mama made me sip from her cup.
After breakfast we proceeded to Paradizoo. It was a bit muddy since it was raining the night before. But this did not prevented us from enjoying the place. The best part of our visit was of course my first time to ride a horse! I wasn't afraid then since the horse was actually a mini-horse (it was not a pony as our tour guide said)
I must admit that Paradizoo was not as good as Avilon Zoo and Zoobic. Incidentally Paradizoo is owned by the same owners as Zoobic.
T'was a two weekends of fun and tiring road trips for me, mama and especially papa who never got tired of driving just to make me and mama happy!
For more pictures of our two road trips, check out papa's paradise philippines blog about nayong Filipino in clark and paradise philippines blog post about Paradizoo. :-)
Last Sunday, my mommy, my daddy and my ate Mayan and Kuya Lean went to the Manila International Book. It was mommy and I's first time to go to the International Book Fair. Anyways, there were lots of books! (duh!) at the Book Fair. But my ate and kuya did not buy any book but instead grab themselves a couple of teeny magazines (for ate Mayan) and manga and Ragnarok (for kuya Lean). As for me? Daddy bought me this big book about numbers and stuff. Too bad he didn't buy me the DORA stuff that I was looking at (see the picture).
That's my Ate Mayan wearing the 100% Pinoy Librarian T-Shirt from papa's alma mater, UPILS. hopefully Ate Mayan won't take up Lib Sci when she gets to college :-)
Anyway, it was a brief and yet fun adventure at the Book Fair. Too bad we didn't bump into Ninong Nick and Tita Tina who was also there last weekend.
Last Saturday, mommy and daddy brought me to the birthday party of the daughter of mommy's kababata, tital Aileen. Tita Aileen's daughter turned one and the gave her a grand birthday party at none other than --- Jollibee!!!!
I was so excited to meet the Jolly old bee who I get to watch only on TV
And this is me, my mama, the birthday girl Agatha and Tita Aileen
Of course the encounter with Jollibee wouldn't be complete without the family picture!
Last Thursday mommy and daddy took a leave of absence from office because mama wanted to go to Makati. We ate at this famous restaurant that was inspired by a Hollywood movie called Forrest Gump. Mommy and daddy feasted on the famous momma gump's shrimp! while I enjoyed myself eating french fries dipped in my favorite ketchup! After eating, while waiting for mommy, I decided to try out this big shoes, a replica of Forrest Gump's own shoes!
And finally, my daddy bought me a bike! a tiny green bike...
That was my cousin Claire's bike, a birthday gift from her dad. Since she was too young to drive it, I took it for a test drive yesterday. I had fun and yet I'm not sure if I'd like to have one. My daddy would surely not buy me a bike because he thinks its for boys. So I might as well ask my mommy to buy me that bike. :-)
My daddy just bought his newest toy last week. Here's some proof. Can you guess my daddy's new toy just by looking at this picture?
This is how I sweep the floor using my little broom.
Watch and learn from me...:-)
Yay! It's been two consecutive weekends of road trip for me and my parents. Last weekend (April 14-15) we joined daddy's company outing at Subic where we checked in at Legenda Suites, a not so classy hotel that is near the place where we stayed last December. This time around, my two siblings were with us. Although, I've been to Zoobic already, I still managed to enjoy the tour since I was in the company of other kids. my ate Mayan and Kuya Lean,
I don't know why my ates and kuyas enjoyed swimming in the pool under the hot sun, but I still couldn't manage to stay in the water for at least 5 minutes, I had to cry my heart out before my Mom took me out of the water.
Overall, it was a pretty fun adventure.
The following weekend (April 21), me and my parents joined mommy's company outing at Tagaytay Highlands. With us is my Lola (Yey!). It was only a day tour so we didn't pretty much had many things to do. The most exciting part was when we rode the famous cable car! It was so exciting for me and my mommy but my daddy was scared so he didn't enjoy the ride that much.
I had fun last weekend, especially when it was my turn to show off my antics to my mommy's officemates during the trip back to Manila.
Last Sunday, mommy and I attended the wedding of my mommy's cousin, in Canyon Woods Estate, Tagaytay. The place was simply fantastic. Reminds me of Camp John Hay Baguio. I wish my parents could buy a residential unit there. It would be nice to visit the place from time to time.
